has studied at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and at the
Lyon Conservatory of Music and Dance. He has worked with composers like
Pierre Boulez, Gilbert Amy, Tristan Murail, Sylvano Bussotti,
François-Bernard Mâche, Vinko Globokar and others. He has collaborated
on improvisation with performers like Jaques DiDonato, Chris Cutler,
Paul Lovens, Xavier Charles, Michel Doneda and others. He has performed
at many new music festivals, including a solo performance at IRCAM
festival “Agora” in Paris.
Taavi Kerikmäe has composed music for dance performances, including
ballet “Hamlet” in Estonian National Opera. In 2008 he received the
award “Electronic Artist of the Year” from the Estonian Association of
the Phonogram Producers for his work (CD “Death Has a Meaning for Us”
with Broken Time Orchestra). He teaches new music and improvisation at
the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre.
He has studied at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and
the Tel-Aviv Music Academy in Israel. He won the International Holland
Music Sessions Scholarship (2003). He has studied in master classes
from Bernard Greenhouse, Uzi Wiesel, Yosif Feigelsohn, Stefan Popov,
Johannes Goritzki, Dmitri Fershtman and others. He has given concerts
in Sweden, Czech Republic, Israel, Finland, Russia, Germany and the
Neatherlands. He is a member of Tallinn String Quartet, a member of
Estonian National Symphony Orchestra (since 2002) and the second
concertmaster of cello group (since 2004).
Tarmo
Johannes studied at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre,
continued his studies at the Latvian Academy of Music and the
Conservatorium van Amsterdam, and continued doctorate studies at the
Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre and the Bologna Conservatory.
He has played in many Estonian orchestras; he is a founding member of
new music ensemble Resonabilis
and
has written articles for “Muusika”
magazine. He teaches in Georg Ots Tallinn Music School.
She studied at Tallinn National
Conservatory. She has worked with many orchestras and ensembles,
including European Union Youth Orchestra, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra,
Estonian-Finnish Symphony Orchestra, NYYD Ensemble and others. He is a
member of Estonian National Symphony Orchestra (since 1994) and he
teaches in Tallinn Music Secondary School.
Helena Tuuling has studied at Heino
Eller Tartu Music School, Tallinn Music Secondary School and Estonian
Academy of Music and Theatre. She has supplemented herself in Spain
at Real Conservatorio Superior
de
música "Victoria Eugenia" de Granada´s (prof Francisco Gil
Valencia) and Royal Swedish Music Academy in Stockholm (prof
Kjell-Inge Stevensson).
She has won numerous prizes in different competitions in Estonia,
performed as soloist with many Estonian orchestras and taken part in
many international masterclasses. Next to ensemble U:, Helena
Tuuling is a member of new music ensemble of Estonian Academy of Music
and Theatre.
He has studied at the Estonian
Academy of Music and Theatre and is associated with various ensembles
such as PaukenfEst, NYYD Ensemble and Heinavanker. He has been the
first performer of many solo and ensemble works from various Estonian
composers, including Lepo Sumera, Toivo Tulev, Ülo Krigul, Galina
Grigorjeva, Tatjana Kozlova, Mirjam Tally and others. He is a member of
Estonian National Symphony Orchestra (since 2000).
